Becoming an Ordained Minister all started with my own wedding to my wonderful husband, Warren. Both of us had been married before so we wanted to keep things simple yet it was important to us that it still be memorable and "something special" that we would cherish forever. We both felt that going to the town hall, for us, was impersonal so we called a local officiant and were married in our home, with a beautiful, intimate ceremony on New Years Eve with our children and family around us. Exactly what we wanted! I wrote our ceremony because it was important to both of us that our love be represented and how grateful we are to have found each other and how blessed we were to have this newly blended family.
Warren and I both have children from our first marriage. Warren has three children and I have two. Sadly, I lost my 18 year old son, Nicholas, in 2014. As the struggles of his passing are daily, the love of all our children keeps me going and being able to perform ceremonies gives me so much joy and a huge purpose to get up with a smile everyday!!
Warren, my daughter Katie and I moved to Rio Rancho, NM from Tennessee in November of 2016. We are originally from New Jersey and moved to Tennessee in the fall of 2015. My husband and I thought that Tennessee would be our final destination but Warren was offered an amazing position at a local hospital here in Albuquerque and well, the rest is history. While I love the Smoky Mountains, I am so blessed to be out west in such a beautiful area. My backyard is now the Sandia Mountains and I am having a ball exploring it all (not to mention the green chili is amazing)!
Warren has traveled all over the world while my travels mainly took me to the Jersey Shore, a favorite place for me and my kids. Living in Tennessee, Katie and I visited Gatlinburg, Sevierville and the Smoky Mountains all the time. Cades Cove was a favorite spot to bring a picnic lunch and just take relax. Now, Katie and I have explored lots of beautiful areas in New Mexico and a favorite of ours is traveling through Jemez. Besides living in such a beautiful area, everyone we come in contact with is so warm and friendly here. I've never felt so welcomed! Even our five year old Shorkie, Baylee, is enjoying it as she sits on the chair in our living room and barks at everyone who passes by. Our neighbors just love us, lol. We were blessed in December 2015 when we rescued our Chocolate Lab mix, Lexi. I am just amazed how well the two of them get alone. They're inseparable.
In my spare time, like I mentioned, I love to drive around and take in the beauty that is in my backyard. I am blown away each and every time at the natural beauty that surrounds us. I always seem to find something new each and every time we go out. I also love anything to do with Home Décor and Gardening although I have to get use to gardening here. It's not as easy as I thought!
I worked in Banking for many years leaving in 2014 to pursue my love of officiating wedding ceremonies. I wanted to be available to my couples 24/7. I knew I could create and give couples the same wonderful memories my husband and I have of our wedding ceremony. For me, the Wedding Ceremony is the most important part of your Wedding day and when my couple is standing in front of me, I want them to feel as a friend is marrying them and not some stranger they met online. Through the years I have come to realized that this is not just a business for me, but a passion. To stand witness to the start of your married lives together is truly a gift and with that gift given to me, I give my couple the gift of love and respect for them and their wedding day. My couples wedding day is just as important to me as it is to them which is why I will only perform one wedding a day.
I look forward to helping you fill the first page of your new life with treasured memories of a ceremony that is as unique as the love you share.
